ReplyDeleteI've watched this film whit my english prof.
It talks about Luther, a priest who changed the Curch.
He tought that God don’t says to sell the indulgences to people for money, but he says to bring his religion all over the world, without indulgences or similar things.
Luther become a very famous priest in Germany and, whit the people, contrasted the Curch in a terrible fight.
The character I liked most is the Prince! He’s crazy, idiot, stupid but…he’s a genius! I liked very much this character.
I also liked the actor of Luther, he is very able to express his emoctions, ah ah! =)
The scene I liked the most, perhaps, is when the Prince’s men take out Luther to save him, but he believe they’re men of the pope and they will kill him, very nice scene.
I raccomend to watch this film because it is interesting and nice, and because Luther screams very good! ;)
The storyline: Martin Luther was a reformer of the Church. He was saved by a storm and then decided to join a monastery. His father, Johann von Staupitz, sent him to Rome.
ReplyDeleteMartin Luther was shocked because the church sold indulgences and it was corrupted. He went to the University of Theology to Wittenberg and he became professors. Federico III was a follower of Luther. Pope Lion X wanted to use the money for indulgences to enlarge the Basilica of San Pietro.
Luther, in 1517 published the 95 theses and them travelled the Christian world.
Martin Luther was threatened many times but he continued to reform the church. The church was divided by Luther.

The character I liked the most is Friedrich because he is very nice.

I recommend to watch this film because it is very exciting and because is a true story, is a very beautiful film
Martin Luther, German monk, the father of the Protestant Reformation, after being sent to Rome, he returned home and wrote the famous 95 theses on Christianity opposed to the Catholic Church.

The main characters in addition to Martin Luther is the prince, the Emperor, the Pope and the spiritual guide of monk.
The protagonist, Martin, is certainly the most fascinating.
The Pope is the most hostile and unpleasant.
The revolt of the peasants is the most exciting scene.
The scene that I liked least was the kidnapping of Martin to lead him by his patron Prince.
I recommend watching this film, because it helps to understand the origin of the Protestant religion.

ReplyDeletethe film talks about Luther's life.Luther is a monk who lived in the sixteen century. He fought a hard battle against the roman church when he went to Rome. When Luther come back to Germany, he fought to obtain a religion without indulgences (payment to save a dead soul and get a place for him in heaven). When Luther disappear from Germany, everybody thinks he's dead, but he has writing the bible in german for all the people.
I like this film but I sow other films much better than this.

1. The film talks about a monk that doesn’t like the organization of the Roman church. The film begins with an interesting scene: Martin Luther is in a thunderstorm and tells to God that he saves Martin, he will become a monk. In the next scene, Martin is a monk. All over the film Martin will hate the Roman church organization because the Pope sells the indulgences to take lots of money, so the Roman church will become rich. When Martin says what he thinks about the Pope.
2. The main character are Luther, Ulrick, Prince Friedrick, the pope, the cardinal and the emperor.
3. The character I liked the most is prince Friedrick because he’s smart and helps Martin. The character I liked the least is the emperor because he hates what Martin does.
4. The scene I liked the most is when Martin learns in the university. I haven’t got a scene that I liked the least.
5. I recommend this movie because it talks about the story of our religion.

THE STORYLINE: Luther is a German priest. He utters a doctrine religious different from the Roman doctrine. For this Luther fights against the Cristian church. Until one day he is arrested. But Luther goes on with his work. He translates the Bible into German because peasant can read the Bible. In the end Luther gets married and he wins the battle against the Roman church.
ReplyDeleteTHE MAIN CHARACTERS: There are many characters in this film: the protagonist is Luther. Other characters are the peasants, father Ulrick and the other priest and the Roman church with the pope.
THE CHARACTER I LIKED THE MOST/THE LEAST: There aren’t characters I liked the most or the least. But I think all actors are good. I liked Luther because is a strong and resolute character.
THE SCENE I LIKED THE MOST/THE LEAST: I liked a lot the final scene because there is a lot of tension and later it become jay because the church was reformed. I don’t like some boring scene.
I RECOMMEND TO WATCH THIS FILM BECAUSE: It is a very interesting film and I like a lot the story it tells.
Martin Luther is a young priest that has revolutionary ideas. After having entered in the convent he devotes to the payer. His superior send to Roma, where Luther remains scandalized by the corruption of the clergy and from the sale of indulgence to finance the construction of the basilica S,Pietro. Luther attached the 95 thesis with which the receive the excommunication of the pope. In the mean times Luther translated the Bible from the Latin to German. Later Luther will instigate a revolution and will found the Protestant church.

The character that I liked more is Luther.
The scene that is liked more is that where the Germanic principles bend him to the emperor to support Luther, while that that I’m liked less is that where Luther see the noble in a field hung.
I recommend this film because describe very well the protestant Reform in simple way.

He wanted a more honest and great Church .
He didn’t want the indulgences and he wrote 95 thesis .
He attacked these thesis on the door of the Wittenberg’s church .
The Church asked him his thesis to retract but he didn’t agree because he wanted the Church’s reform .
The Church declared him a heretical and burned his thesis .
Martin Luther was liked at Princes and at the people, they were ready to dead for him and they saved him .

The storyline: the film fells the life of Martin Luther: a German friar of XVI sec. that fought against the corruption of the Church and the sale of indulgence.

He translated the bible, but he was called from Papa Leone X to revoke the translation but Martin didn’t revoke it.

This movie speaks about a priest that changed the word of she church. He is against the rules of the catholic church. For example he’s against the indulgences of the church. He become famous in Germany and the people supported Martin Luther. At the end of the battle against the church, Martin Luther translated the Bible in German and this thing is in memory of the people today. The character I liked the most is Martin Luther, because he is interpreted by a very good actor. He expresses this emoctions very well. I don’t have a character I liked the least because I liked every actor in this movie. The scene I liked the most is when Luther changes the ideas of the German people. The scene I liked the least is when Luther sees a lot of country mean died in the church.

Hi!! I'm Nikola from Italy.I've watched this film whit my english prof. The film inspired by Martin Luther, tells of events really happened, that led Martin, to found the Protestan Church. Is a very hard film, that shows all the bad things that the Church made at that time. Martin is a priest, and during a trip to Rome bought an indulgence, and as a ritual has to climb a staircase and pray step for step. When the last one turns around and sees many people do the same thing. Then he understand that indulgences are not used to anything and that the Church only uses them to get money. It hangs the thesis to the door of the Church of Wittenberg. Many people follow him.The Church doesn't accept this and send a bishop to talk with him. He doesn't withdraw what he has written. He escapes and during this period he translates the Binle into German. He is processes in Rome, and he did not withdraw from said in the thesis. As a conseguence the Protestant Church was later founded

ReplyDeleteThe film tells the life of Martin Luther , a German monk of the sixteenth century ,who fought a bitter battle against the corruption of the church and the saleing of indulgences (absolution of sins exchange of money ) .
Supported by many German principles and a large part of the people , Luther could do a lot of things (it was he who translated the scriptures into the language of the people and preached that everyone could read them without the intermediation of the church ).
The character of the film that I like the best is Martin Luther for his strength and the conviction of his ideals though they had jeopordized his life.
Another character of the movie that I find interesting is the King for the way he behaves and speaks to the others.
The characters that I don’t are :
Prince Frederick ,Alessander and Tez .
The most beautiful scenes of this film are the following :
1 When Martin Luther was in his room and lies on the floor and says “it’s me, save me “;
2 When Luther delivers to the King the Bible trouslated into German;
3 When Katherine von Bora and Martin Luther get married .
The scenes that I didn’t enjoy much are :
1 Initially when Tomas is found hung and Martin Luther buries him in the cementery even though.
It was forbidden to bury a person who has his life taken away because they said that he was danned.
2 When Tez tried to convice the citizens to buy the indulgence ( day of trial).
I would eccomend this film because it is stimulating for our history ande shours how Christianity .
