east is east is a film about a half english-half pakistani family which lives in an english suburb.In the movie the pakistani father tries really hard to have everything under his control and to race his children in a very traditional way.But his rebellious children have a totally different point of view as they feel more close to the english culture!All in all the movie has many hillarious sceens so it can be difined as a comedy and it shows many aspects of pakistan life such as the great impact their religion has on their lives, the stereotypes they have etc..
